Abstract

As the frequency of central venous catheter placement increases so does the need for education of not only the patient, but also the caregiver and the health-care providers who will come in contact with the catheter. The role of radiology nurses in disseminating their knowledge, so that patients with lines placed in their department will have optimal catheter care, is critical.
