The Development and Implementation of a Pediatric Radiology Web Site

Over the past decade there has been rapid growth in the technology for the pediatric radiology population. This expansion has brought about an increased need for pediatric nurses in the radiology area. The care of these children can be complex and challenging. Nurses at Children's Hospital, Boston felt a need to share pediatric radiology information worldwide. In April 2005, Children's Hospital, Boston pioneered a pediatric radiology Web site to provide an international forum for sharing and networking regarding pediatric radiology issues and sedation strategies. This poster will highlight the development of this Web site and how it has been used to date.
