Pulmonary Arteriovenous Malformations: Clinical Features, Diagnosis, and Treatment
Abstract
The authors define and review the important clinical manifestations of pulmonary arteriovenous malformations. Particular emphasis is placed on the multiple techniques used by interventional radiologists to treat and ablate these potentially life threatening vascular malformations. It is hoped this short review will raise awareness of a relatively rare condition as well as prepare radiologists and ancillary staff on how to prevent and treat procedure-related complications.
